I usually find that one of the most difficult business activities to outsource is writing. Which is unfortunate because it's also the most time consuming activity of almost every digital entrepreneur.

Once you have a number of proposals to consider, the article prescribes a four-step process to help you whittle the list to the best for you to pick from.
- Start narrowing your list by screening the proposals
- Schedule a brief video interview with each freelancer on your remaining list
- Focusing your list even further based on the interviews, put the skills of the remaining freelancers to the test with a small paid project.
- Evaluate the results to see which freelancer best suits your primary project.
IMPORTANT POINT: Most entrepreneurs skip steps 3 & 4. This is a major mistake.
Without a test project, there is no way for you to know whether a copywriter can settle into your brand voice.
